Reconstruction of the Vagina



Abstract
Absence of the Vagina is one of the most brutal anomalies of the female genital. organs. In patients With this anomaly, their minimum requirement is to enjoy a satisfactory sexual -life. Despite the remote fruitless end iesult of the reeonstructive-surgery, vaginoplastyis medically inicated to restore the sexual function. Various conservative and operative techniques have been so-for introduced. Of those, the Wharton technique is one of the simplest and least harmful for the patient. Authors have experienced in three cases with absence of the vagina and obtained good result in all. Two of them were congenital but curious to say was the last one whose vagina was neatly obliterated as a result of the previous operative delivery assisted by an unlicenced obstetrician. In addition to the case presentation, brief review of references concerned to the surgical methodology was made.
